THE MAGIC GHOSTBUSTER
Darren McQuade has been interested in magic since he was five years old, learning his first tricks from a Paul Daniels magic set! After leaving college he became a professional entertainer and has performed around the globe in some of the most world's most prestigious venues. He has also performed for members of some of his favourite bands (Guns n' Roses & The Misfits) as well as cast members of the wonderful Ghostbusters franchise!

He has a massive collection of memorabilia, holding the Guinness World Record for the worlds largest collection and was fortunate to work as a supporting artist on Ghostbusters Frozen Empire. Darren is also a professional actor. He studied at LAMDA and RADA and has appeared on screen and stage. He has starred in various stage productions including The Anniversary, Tom Jones and A Murder has been Arranged. On screen he has had roles in the award winning BBC Comedy Ghosts, PBS documentary Breakthrough, where he was narrated by Patrick Stewart, Sky 1 comedy Intelligence with David Schwimmer, BBC soap opera Eastenders and Star Wars Episode IX: Rise of Skywalker to name just a few!!
Performing as The Magic Ghostbuster Darren has helped promote the Ghostbusters slot machine game for Aspers Casino, Rise of the Ghost Lord for Meta Quest and Ghostbusters in Concert at The Royal Albert Hall (he also produced & directed their promo video). In 2025 he took part in the London New Years Day Parade with Heroes for Charity, where he won the individual award for earning the most money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Darren is also a member of the Southend-on-Sea Ghostbusters who he travelled to New York with for the 40th Anniversary and can sometimes be found joining them at conventions throughout the UK.
